Can I speak directly to the judge or his/her staff about my case?

Common FAQ
Answer:

No. You cannot speak to the judge or his or her staff without the other party (or the other party's lawyer) present. Except for proceedings in open court, all of your communications with the judge should be in writing, filed with the Clerk's Office, with copies sent to all parties or their lawyers. You should not send correspondence directly to any judge or to his or her chambers.
