Feedback Sought on Mandatory Initial Discovery Pilot (MIDP) Project – Public Comment Period Closed

For the last three years the District of Arizona has conducted a Mandatory Initial Discovery Pilot Program (“MIDP”) for the Federal Rules Committee to determine whether mandatory initial disclosure would reduce the cost and delay of civil litigation.  That pilot project expires on May 1, 2020.  Some or all of the judges on the Court are contemplating continuing the requirements of the pilot, either as a court, or on a judge by judge basis.  In making such determinations the judges of the Court welcome any input or comment that attorneys may have about the MIDP pilot.  Such comments should be received by April 13, 2020 and may be submitted via email to MIDPComments@azd.uscourts.gov or by mail to:
