The District of Arizona has implemented a pilot program to determine if additional procedures are necessary to facilitate review of and action on after-hours requests for emergency injunctive relief. The pilot program will begin on Monday, September 29, 2025, and conclude on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Attorneys seeking emergency injunctive relief after business hours are directed to notify the Court by clicking on the links below. The link will direct the filer to complete a form which will require the filer to provide the following information:
- Attorney contact information (phone number(s) and email address(es)).
- Cause of action.
- Nature of suit.
- Summary of filing
- Required documents (e.g., Complaint or Petition (if filing a new matter), Motion for TRO or Preliminary Injunction, any necessary exhibits, etc.).
- Certification that irreparable harm is likely to occur before the next business day.
For the duration of this pilot, the definition of after business hours will vary based on Court division, as indicated below:
Phoenix Division: Requests for emergency injunctive relief in new or existing matters received on weekends and government holidays only (defined to begin after 5:00 p.m. on Friday or the last court day before a government holiday). Requests for emergency injunctive relief filed after 5:00 p.m. on Monday-Thursday will be addressed the following business day.
Tucson Division: Requests for emergency injunctive relief in new or existing matters received on weekends, government holidays, and after business hours (5:00 p.m.) on weekdays.
